Eligible investor or EI

As per Rule 2, clause (f) of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (Public Offer of Equity Securities) Rules, 2025, the following parties can be considered as EI:

1. Merchant Banker and Portfolio Manager
2. Asset Manager
3. Stock-Dealer
4. Bank
5. Financial Institution
6. Insurance Company
7. Fund Manager
8. Alternative Investment Fund & other Collective Investment Scheme (CIS)
9. Non-resident or NR having account with any Security Custodian registered with the Commission
10. National Party Authority or any Recognized Provident Fund, approved Pension Fund and approved Gratuity Fund
11. Any other person as approved by the Commission

Eligible Institutional Investors (EIs) must maintain minimum investment in listed securities before the intended subscription as per the condition of the consent letter for the public issue.  They must have adequate resources and personnel to perform the valuation of securities and comply with any additional conditions imposed by the Commission in the public offer consent letter.
