CSE Board called on SEC Chairman

President stressed for coordinated efforts

The new board of Chittagong Stock Exchange led by its President Mr. Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury has made a courtesy meeting with the SEC Chairman Mr. Faruq Ahmad Siddiqi at the Commission’s office today.

The meeting has discussed about the various issues relating to the capital market development of Bangladesh. The important agendas of the meeting are implementing Book Building process to encourage big and good companies to list in the capital market, offloading more state owned shares through Direct Listing Regulation to the market in order to ensure good governance among the state run companies, setting up a Professional Training Institute for ensuring human resource development, Broker Dealer compliance issues, introduction of Bond Market and Derivative Trading.

Among the Board Directors of CSE Mr. Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed-Vice President, Mr. Al Maruf Khan-FCA-Vice President, Mr. Abu Sayed Md. Shahidullah, Mr. MKM Mohiuddin, Mr. Mohammad Fakhruddin, Mr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Dr. A. Majeed Khan, Mr. Anis A. Khan, Mr. Mamun Rashid and Chief Executive Officer Mr. A B Siddique, FCMA were present in the meeting.

SEC Chairman confirmed CSE delegation about strong tie with CSE in the future for the greater interest of the general investors.
