Who will take responsibility for the business loss during political agitation? Says school students
A group of Students of Commence discipline from Chittagong Public School & College visits CSE today to be aware of Capital Market and Stock Exchange functionalities. Mr. Atiquzzaman, Head of Compliance while addressing his remarks said that the next generation must be well informed about Bangladesh Capital Market. Without capital market it is impossible to generate more industry in the country, it is a barometer of our economic development, he added. Every year 200 hundred thousand graduate students are coming and looking for jobs. If we could not provide them employment opportunity where they will go, he said.
He further said that Government must emphasize to increase the GDP ratio over market capital from 7% to beyond.
Enthusiastic students raised different questions on Bangladesh Capital Market while an elaborate presentation on the Capital Market visualized by Mr. AKM Shahroze Alam, Deputy Manager, Corporate Development. Mr. Kamal Uddin Jalal, Deputy Manager, Investors’ Information Cell.
Among questions from students, some interesting queries raised by the students. Such as why business community effected by the political uncertainty, who will responsible for such huge business loss, How stock market indices effected by such political instability? Why share market 1996 debacle happened? Have any punishment taken place to the unscrupulous manipulators etc.
